First-Degree Burglary Charges Result in Not Guilty Verdict

People v. T.G.

My client was charged with 1st Degree Burglary and facing prison along with a strike offense. He was charged with 3 other defendants. The alleged victim claimed she was sitting in her car at her house/garage as she saw 4 guys coming out of her house and get in a waiting car. The alleged victim got in a waiting car and get in a waiting car and followed them. The alleged victim is an off duty cop who calls it in and then follows the car until other cops begin the chase. One defendant jumps out of the car, eventually car is stopped and stolen items are in the car, all 3 people in the car are arrested and charged.

‍Defense Investigation‍

My investigation uncovered that the alleged victim was an off-duty cop who called in the chase. I identified inconsistencies between what the alleged victim said and what the other officers reported.
